DIY LEATHER SILHOUETTE BAG CHARM

Who doesn’t love receiving presents? Who? Tell me. Well, I think everyone loves receiving presents and more so expensive ones. I’ve always dreamed to have an orange box under our Christmas tree whenever the holiday arrives, but I’d be fooling myself if I do so. The dream of some Hermes leather on Christmas would be fantastic, but the real world won’t allow me to. So I just have to fake it til’ I make it. wink wink*
Speaking of presents, this easy DIY is the perfect gift for your friend or secret santa. It’s very easy to make and you can make tons as gifts.
MATERIALS:
Leather | Felt | Ruler | Scissor | Pen | Hole Puncher | Fabric Glue or E600
STEPS:
1. Pick an animal silhouette you like and print it or just use this template I made. Trace the template on to a piece of leather and cut it.
2. Now, apply a deliberate amount of fabric glue on the back side of the cut leather piece and stick it on a piece of felt. Cut the excess felt.
3. Punch a hole at the top part of the bag charm or anywhere you feel comfortable with and add string or a strip of leather.
Aaannnd there you have it! Easy and simple!
My tip would be to cut the silhouette carefully so you get that well-crafted feel on the bag charm.
It can be used as a decor to top your gift or a great name tag for your bags and also an ornament to spice up your tree. The uses of it are endless Be creative with it! Personalize it with different colored leather, studs, rhinestones, etc. I hope you have fun with this project!
